This is my Grandfather's YouTube presentation on the FairTax. (There is a second installment "Advantages of the FairTax" that you can find by searching DanDyer4 on YouTube). Now I know most Real Estate agents hate the idea of a FairTax because it would get rid of the mortgage interest deduction that allow many of our clients to afford high monthly mortgage payments rather than high rents. Not to mention it would get rid of all those deductions that we as independent contractors take come April 15th. However, I do think its a very interesting idea and would get rid of a lot of the work and red tape that our out of control tax code causes. This is an easy to understand overview of the fair tax idea. Whether you agree with the idea or not, the Fair Tax movement a great example of a bi-partisan grassroots movement that makes me proud to live in this country.
