Restaurant Review- BlackSalt in the Palisades

Ok from the looks of this blog, all i've been doing recently is eating!! Regardless, I must recommend Black Salt, which I tried for the first time on Saturday. Its actually a combo fishmarket and seafood restaurant, with a bar that I hear is hip for older singles. The service is very good there, and our servers were very helpful describing dishes and recommending a great wine to complement our food. They also give diners an assortment of bread and an olive dipping sauce that was delicious. I started my meal with a tomato salad, simple and seasonal and had the seared tuna steak with roasted zucchini for an entree. Delicious. I also tried an oyster, a bit of the scallops and some of the sea bass, all were exceptionally fresh and cooked with lots of flavor. The restaurant is over in the Palisades on MacArthur Blvd, there's no crazy decor or artsy architectural details and it definitely has more of a suburban fine dining feel. Black Salt is a definite must-try for all DC seafood lovers.
