Mark your calenders for the weekend of March 27th-March 29th for the best rummage sale DC has to offer. By "rummage" I really mean treasure. The Junior League of Washington puts on this sale featuring cast-off clothing, electronics, books, home decor, kitchen appliances (Cuisinart mixers for $30- yes please!). Last year I worked the "Luxury Items" section with Tod's and Coach bags, Tiffany jewelry, and fine crystal. There is a also a huge sections of childrens' apparel and toys, often brand new in boxes or with tags. The selection and deals are great and all the proceeds go towards helping the JLW's cause of increased literacy in the DC area.
